When you need to immobilize your wrist and thumb due to injury or inflammation, The ManuLoc Rhizo is the device to help with the healing process. It immobilizes the wrist and the thumb carpometacarpal and basal joints. The brace holds the thumb in a relaxed, comfortable position while maintaining stability and support.

As your treatment progresses, you can adjust the brace when swelling subsides, or you want to relax the pressure of the straps. As you heal, you can increase the mobility of the thumb at the basal joint as you near the end of the road to recovery.

The aluminum stays that are the basis of the construction of this brace are what secure the wrist and thumb. They come contoured to fit the wearer’s anatomy and can be altered by an orthoist to improve support for the wearer.

Once the healing process begins in earnest, muscle exercise will become essential, and you can loosen the thumb strap when necessary. When the thumb has enough mobility and isn’t at risk of re-injury, you can remove the thumb support from the brace. Gripping and holding things while your wrist is immobilized is the next facet of the healing process when wearing the brace.

The ManuLoc fits like a glove, and the thumb support can re-positioned as needed. The flat design, lightweight, breathable material, and extra air holes make this device is comfortable to wear and is easily worn under clothing.

When you have a pre-operative condition that requires immobility for the wrist and thumb, the ManuLoc is what you need. Irritation or inflammation of the wrist and thumb at the carpometacarpal or basal joint in a post-traumatic or post-operative setting can be eliminated wearing this device. If you experience severe carpometacarpal joint arthrosis or an injury to the wrist and thumb or carpal tunnel syndrome, the device will help with problems and speed up recovery.
