Advantages & Benefits of
Foot & Ankle Braces

Foot & Ankle braces are made for chronic or acute ankle sprains, injures and edema at the ankle joint as well as foot conditions such as achilles tendinitis. They provide compression and stabilization at the joint, and the soft tissue around foot and ankle. The compression will help bring down inflammation and speed up recovery time.

Ankle braces are made up of a combination of soft and rigid materials. In case of injury a rigid support may be the best option.

For chronic/repetitive ankle sprain and Achilles Tendinitis, a combination brace can be used daily as a preventative measure to heal acute pain.

All ankle supports that are sold in our office need to be properly measured in order to provide the best fit and support. All professional braces that we sell are costly. If you chose to have it covered by your insurance plan, we recommend having it pre-approved first.

We well require a doctor’s prescription for all medically necessary support braces.

At our office we sell only medical grade braces and compression garments.

Foot & Ankle Braces help:

  • Reduce the risk of injury or re-injury.
  • Speed healing after injury or surgery.
  • Alleviate pain and swelling from injury or surgery.
  • Increase stability and preventing improper movement.

Stabilizes the ankle in the shoe

AirLoc®

AirLoc stabilizes the ankle in the shoe, for example after an acute capsular ligament injury. The plastic shells are anatomically contoured and therefore fit the foot comfortably. Inflatable air cushions allow the orthosis to be adjusted to the degree of swelling.

  • Anatomically optimal shape
  • Effective when worn inside a shoe
  • Simple to insert

The AirLoc stabilizing orthosis stabilizes the outer capsular ligaments of the upper ankle. It thus counteracts ankle twisting. AirLoc consists of anatomically contoured, elastic plastic shells with an integral air bladder system. The inflatable cushions exert an intermittent compression massage on the tissue around the ankle and guarantee maximum wearing comfort.

Stabilization of the ankle and is used for care for ankle injuries

MalleoLoc®

MalleoLoc is an anatomically self-shaping stabilizing orthosis that can be used in the immediate care and treatment of ankle injuries. After serious twisting injuries, torn ligaments and capsular ligament strains, it stabilizes the ankle and protects it from lateral twisting. The normal heel-to-toe movement of the foot is still possible and the support can be worn therapeutically without a shoe.

  • Anatomically self-shaping
  • Low-fatigue cushioning
  • Stimulates the tibialis anterior muscle

The MalleoLoc stabilizing orthosis is anatomically contoured to conform to the outside edge of the foot and includes a strap system. It fits snugly on the foot and passes forwards along the side of the joint and then underneath the sole, leaving the heel free. It thus counteracts both talar shift and lateral twisting of the foot.

The musculature of the ankle is actively stabilized. As well as acute care, this orthosis can be thermoplastically shaped to the individual anatomy of the foot and used for stabilization in chronic cases of ligament weakness.

Stabilizing protection

MalleoLoc® L3

Orthoses help to protect an unstable ankle from excessive strain. The MalleoLoc L3 orthosis can be adapted for multi-stage treatment and patients with chronic conditions: its stabilizing protection can be adjusted in three steps depending on the progress of the treatment or individual requirements. Using an L shell and securing straps, it stabilizes at the outside of the ankle. In addition, a muscle-activating compression support is integrated. The shell and straps can be removed easily. The MalleoLoc L3 provides secure support and fits in narrow everyday shoes, thanks to its slim design.

  • Stabilizes at the outside of the ankle after injuries and in the event of ligament weakness
  • Combines shell, straps and support for adjustable stabilization
  • Ensures secure support in the shoe during everyday activities
  • Slim fit for sports and business shoes

During everyday movements and minor sporting activities, the MalleoLoc L3 protects the unstable ankle and prevents recurring sprains. Its special feature: the orthosis can be adjusted in its protective function, meaning it can supplement multi-stage treatment or support patients with chronic conditions who sometimes need more, sometimes less stabilization. Since its plastic shell is positioned exclusively on the side of the lateral malleolus (side of the ankle facing away from the body), it is particularly slim. Therefore, the orthosis fits in narrow shoes.

Treat injuries, a sore ankle, after-surgery care, and osteoarthritis

MalleoTrain®

The MalleoTrain® orthopedic brace is used to treat a sore ankle joint following injury, surgery or osteoarthritis. Two individually fitted and contoured cushions (pads) on the inner and outer malleolus help to reduce effusions. The three-dimensional knit sits comfortably and stimulates circulation.

  • Helps to relieve pain
  • Helps to reduce swelling
  • Breathable material, gentle on your skin

Hallux valgus splint for use at night

ValguLoc®

ValguLoc corrects the misalignment of your big toe and counteracts further shortening of the capsular ligament structure. The orthosis immobilizes your big toe in a cushioned shell that is pulled outwards with a Velcro strap. You can adjust the corrective force individually based on your needs and sensation of pain.

ValguLoc relieves pain and prevents joint wear and other consequential damage.

  • Alleviates twinging toe pain
  • Counteracts further misalignments
  • Softly cushioned night-time postural splint
